Hello and Welcome!
We’re Deb and Ed Peets, owners of The Bakery on Bible Hill. We are a licensed commercial bakery specializing in 100% freshly milled bread and baked goods (We have received our commercial license since this project began).
What began as a personal journey toward healthier eating quickly grew into a passion for sharing the benefits of freshly milled flour with others. The more we bake, the more stories we hear of healing and renewed enjoyment of bread, inspiring us to keep baking, sharing, and spreading the word.
After participating in our first farmers' market last summer, we expanded into weekly pre-orders, community fundraisers, and stocking our bread and baked goods at local artisan fairs.

We don’t take it for granted that you choose our bread to be a part of your table, so thank you. We truly hope that you can feel the love and care that goes into every loaf, every treat. To be a part of why someone feels cared for; why a person can finally eat bread for the first time in years; or why someone’s gut has been healed after sickness...this is why we do what we do. We want to help shift the way the world experiences bread through fresh milled flour.

What is Fresh Milling?
About the grains:
Simply put, we buy bulk fresh, organic grains and batch mill them ourselves into fine flour & blends for all of our products just before mixing & baking them. By fresh milling, we can ensure freshness as well as a complete grain, with nothing missing, and no fillers, additives, preservatives or colors. All natural as God intended.

Whole Grain Nutrition
Fresh-milled flour retains 100% of the wheat kernel's original bran, germ, and oils, offering excellent nutrition and flavor.
Wheat alone contains 4-0 of the 44 essential nutrients needed to sustain life, including natural B-complex vitamins(thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, B6, and flolate), vitamin E, iron, magnesium, and zinc.
Whole grains freshly milled are the best source of real whole-grain flour. Most commercially milled whole-grain flour is made by recombining the bran and germ with white flour to meet minimal legal standards only. Freshly milled flour has never been separated and contains all the life giving components, exactly as they were in the whole grain itself. Rich in Fiber – both insoluble and soluble; and rich in Vitamin E.
